Java meetup s Andresom Almirayom 19.11. u Zagrebu

Dragi članovi naše nove meetup grupe, HUJAKovci i svi ostali,

Andres Almiray dolazi u Zagreb 19. studenoga, pa smo odlučili organizirati meetup s njemu bliskim temama kao što su Gradle, Groovy, Griffon i Asciidoctor. Meetup će se održati u suorganizaciji s Udruženjem za IT HGK u njihovim prostorijama, Nova cesta 7 (južni ulaz, 2. kat, iznad Lidla), s početkom u 17:30, a prijaviti se možete OVDJE. Ovaj put smo odabrali dvije teme, a vjerujemo da Andresu ovo sigurno neće biti zadnji posjet HUJAKovim druženjima i konferencijama.

1. Gradle: Harder, Better, Stronger, Faster

Maven works OK, but there’s a new tool in town that goes beyond maven: Gradle. It’s fresh, almost aerodynamic. Once you discover it, you’ll feel like your’e ‘doin’ it right’ when building a project. We kid you not, it’s an instant crush for those that have been following the path of Maven. You are in your prime as a developer, so make the most out of it by leveraging the best tools. Oh Yeah.

2. Getting started with Asciidoctor on the JVM

Writing documentation is often seen as no fun, but it does not have to be that way! Asciidoc is a member of the microformat markup languages family; like Markdown but with more pizzaz and power. Asciidoctor revolutionizes source doc processing in the JVM by leveraging well-known tools such as Maven and Gradle, you can even call it from the command line as is. In this talk we’ll present syntax and dive into the JVM toolset that will let you create great documentation. Come learn why teams around the world are getting excited about Asciidoctor.

Andres Almiray (@aalmiray) je poznati Java Champion i Java/Groovy developer, inače i JSR377 spec lead, bloger jroller.com/aalmiray/, osnivač razvojne platforme Griffon te autor knjige Griffon in Action, koji je sudjelovao na brojnim projektima vezanim u Groovy, Basilisk JavaFX framework, JMatter i DbUnit, te vlastitim projektima Json-lib, EZMorhp, GRaphicsBuilder i JideBuilder, a u nastavku je njegov životopis s Linkedina.

Andres Almiray is a Java/Groovy developer and Java Champion with more than 14 years of experience in software design and development. He has been involved in web and desktop application development since the early days of Java. He has also been teacher of computer science courses in the most prestigious education institute in Mexico. His current interests include Groovy and Swing. He is a true believer of open source and has participated in popular projects like Groovy, Griffon, JMatter and DbUnit, as well as starting his own projects (Json-lib, EZMorph, GraphicsBuilder, JideBuilder). Founding member and current project lead of the Griffon framework.
